Which countries do you ship to?

We currently ship exclusively within the United States. We're focused on providing the best service to our domestic customers, ensuring timely and reliable delivery for all portraits.

What do you charge for shipping?

We are pleased to offer free shipping on all orders. No matter the size or quantity of your custom portraits, shipping costs are on us! Enjoy your shopping experience without worrying about additional charges at checkout.

How long will it take to receive my order?

You will receive your artwork proof within 1-2 days for your approval. Once you're happy with your proof, we will fulfill your order within 3 days, after which it will be shipped out. The shipping time depends on your location, but can be estimated as follows:


• USA: 7-11 business days


Note: Most portraits are delivered within 1-2 weeks from the order date. If any revisions are requested, understandably, this will extend the overall turnaround time.

Do you offer express shipping?

At this time, we do not offer express shipping. We're dedicated to ensuring your custom portraits arrive safely and in perfect condition, and our standard shipping method is designed to achieve just that. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking number. You can use this number to track the progress of your shipment and stay updated on its estimated delivery date. 

Can you gift wrap my order?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer gift wrapping for our portraits to avoid damage in shipment.

Can I pick up my order from one of your warehouses?

We currently do not offer local pickups for any orders. We will deliver your order directly to the shipping address you've provided.

My order should be here by now, but I still don't have it. What should I do?

Before getting in touch with us, please help us out by doing the following:


• Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address.

• Ask your local post office if they have your package.

• Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.


Tip: Package theft is on the rise— If you're expecting a home delivery and you know you won't be home to accept it, use an address where you know you'll be!


Please note: We can only send your order to the address you have provided. If you have given us an incorrect address, and the package is delivered there, we are unable to retrieve it. Please check your address carefully on the order status page and order confirmation email before your artwork is sent for printing and shipping. Please notify us immediately if there is something wrong with the shipping address you've entered.


If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn't left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at help@portraitful.com with your order number.

Custom Portraits

How do I upload my photos later?

If you chose the option to upload your photos later, you'll receive an email from us with instructions. Simply reply to that email and attach the images you would like us to use for your portrait. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please reach out to our customer support team at help@portraitful.com

Can I change my order after its been placed?

Changed your mind about a frame size or color? Not to worry! You can change your order before you approve the artwork proof.


After you approve the proof, changes might not be possible as we typically start production right away.


Please contact our customer support team at help@portraitful.com as soon as possible to request any changes. The sooner you reach out, the better we can help.


Note: In some cases, changes to orders may result in shipping delays.

Are all your artworks created digitally?

Yes! Every artwork we create is digitally crafted, starting from the photos you share with us. Our process ensures that each custom art piece closely resembles a hand-painted portrait.


Our digital tools enable us to explore countless creative possibilities, ensuring your portrait is as unique as the memories it represents.

What makes a good photo?

Helpful tips to get a great photo:


• Upload a clear, high resolution photo

• Avoid photos with dark lighting

• Please avoid using any filters to ensure we can color your artwork correctly

• Make sure everything you would like shown in the artwork is visible in the image

What framing options are available?

Gallery Wrapped Canvas 

All canvas frames are 1.25" depth and comes gallery wrapped. The image is stretched around the sides and stapled to the back of the wooden frame. Your portrait will be ready to hang and will include an easy-to-use hanging kit.


Framed Print

Securely framed in one of three colors (black, white, or walnut), each portrait is printed on high-quality photo paper with long-lasting ink, ensuring its lasting quality. Plus, we include easy-to-use hanging hardware for your convenience.


Matte Print

Poster is printed with top quality inks on beautiful gallery paper with matte finish. The result is a stunning print with unrivaled quality that will stand the test of time.

Can I upgrade my order to a larger size after placing it?

Yes! You can upgrade your portrait to a larger size if you haven't approved the artwork proof yet.


After you approve the proof, changes might not be possible as we typically start production right away.

The colors of my print look different to the proof?

We always do our best to ensure the colors of your custom portrait match the artwork proof. However, depending on your device, these colors may appear slightly different. This can be caused by the screen color settings of your device, or how the colors appear overall on your phone or monitor.


If there is a major difference between the proof and the artwork you've received, please contact our friendly support team at help@portraitful.com

Can I change my artwork style?

We provide unlimited revisions based on your chosen portrait style (eg. Watercolor). An additional 'upgrade' fee will apply if you request your portrait to be illustrated in more than one style.


Please contact help@portraitful.com and our team will be happy to organize your artwork style upgrade.

Can I order a digital portrait only?

Currently, we do not offer digital-only portraits.

The Proof

What is a proof?

Your proof is a preview of your custom artwork that you'll receive in 3 days or less after placing your order. You can request unlimited revisions until you are 100% happy - We will work with you on making your artwork perfect before we print and ship it.


Please note that all orders are sent to our print team straight away after we receive your approval, so make sure to check carefully before approving your proof.

Can I preview my artwork before shipment?

Yes! We offer free artwork proofs on all orders. 


With our 'See Now, Pay Later!' ($10 upfront) payment option, you can also preview your artwork proof before paying full price.


We'll start working on your order right away and send you the artwork proof for your approval within 1-2 days.


We want to make sure you're 100% happy, which is why you don't pay full until you approve your artwork. You may request unlimited revisions until your artwork is just the way you like it.

When will I receive my proof?

You will receive your artwork proof for approval in 1-2 days or less after your order is placed. You can request unlimited revisions until you're 100% satisfied.

I haven't received my proof

Haven't received your proof? You may need to check your spam folder. To avoid spam filters, add help@portraitful.com to your contacts to ensure delivery to your inbox.


Please also make sure you entered the correct email address when your order was placed.


If you're still unable find your artwork proof, please email us and our customer service team will help out right away.

Can I change something after I've approved my proof?

All orders are automatically sent out for printing and shipping once the artwork proof has been approved. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to make further changes after you approve the proof, so please make sure you're 100% happy with your artwork!


Please email us at help@portraitful.com immediately if you'd like something changed, and we may be able to hold your order before it is printed. However, this is not guaranteed.

Will the final artwork look the same as the proof?

Yes! The artwork you receive will always match the proof you approved.


Note: We always do our best to ensure the colors of your custom portrait match the artwork proof. However, depending on your device, these colors may appear slightly different. This can be caused by the screen color settings of your device, or how the colors appear overall on your phone or monitor.

What happens after I approve my proof?

Once you approve your artwork proof, we'll begin production on your order. If you selected the 'See Now, Pay Later!' ($10 upfront) payment option, we'll automatically charge the payment method you provided during checkout.


Here’s what happens next:


Production: After approval and payment (if applicable), we’ll start production on your custom portrait. This typically takes 3 business days.

Shipping: Once your custom portrait is ready, we’ll ship it to you. You’ll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your order’s journey.

Delivery: You receive your masterpiece! We'll include hanging hardware so you can display your portrait proudly in your home.

What are your payment options?

We offer many convenient payment options including American Express, Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, as well as PayPal and other debit or credit cards. 

How does the 'See Now, Pay Later!' payment option work?

Our 'See Now, Pay Later!' ($10 upfront) payment option lets you preview your custom portrait before paying full price. Just select the 'See Now, Pay Later!' option when placing your order - it's as simple as that!


We'll start working on your order right away and send you the artwork proof for your approval within 1-2 days. We want to make sure you're 100% happy, which is why you don't pay full price until you approve your artwork.


Once you approve your artwork, we’ll then automatically charge the payment method you provided during checkout.

How secure is your payment process?

We use Stripe Payments, a highly secure and encrypted payment system that keeps your information safe. We comply with all industry standards to make sure your data is protected.

How do I use a discount code?

Have a discount code? To use a discount code, go to the checkout and enter the code on the first page - make sure to click 'Apply'! This is applied before payment so you can see how much you've saved.


Please note: Only one discount code can be used for each order. Please make sure to check our emails carefully for discount code terms and conditions.

Refunds & Returns

What if I am unsatisfied with my proof?

We want to make sure you're 100% happy with your artwork before it's sent out for printing! If you're not satisfied with your proof, you can request changes by adding comments for our design team.


However, if your portrait is still not what you envisioned, we will refund your order in full. It’s really that simple. Please let our friendly customer support team know, and we’ll give you your money back.

What is your return policy?

Due to the highly personalized nature of our products, we don't offer returns and exchanges. Each artwork is created specifically for you and your home.

I am missing part of my order

Missing something from your order? Digital download file never arrived? Need help tracking something down? Please email us (help@portraitful.com and our customer service team will help you sort anything out right away.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

We're really sorry to hear that your order arrived damaged. While it's rare, sometimes your custom portrait may get damaged in transit.


We want to make things right for you as quickly as possible! Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order so we can organize a replacement:


Take Photos: Take clear photos of the entire damaged portrait. This helps us understand what went wrong and speed up the process.

Contact Us: Email our customer support team at help@portraitful.com with your order number, a description of the damage, and attach the photos you took.


Once we receive your email with photos, we will work quickly to organize a replacement so you can receive your perfect print.

Can I cancel my order after it's been placed?

Changed your mind? If you have chosen the 'See Now, Pay Later!' ($10 upfront) payment option, you can cancel your order at any time before or after viewing the artwork proof without any charges.
